This small, ongoing series of canvas paintings arises from travelling the roads and towns of Ecuador’s coastline — through Google Maps. After recently immigrating to Canada, I used these digital maps as a way of visually revisiting familiar, now distant places, and continuing to paint them with a mix of triggered memories and speculative wayfinding.
